Aftermath of Thursday’s ill-fated plane crash which claimed not less than 13 lives of mourners that accompanied the remains of late governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Agagu, at the local wing of the Murtala Mohamed International Airport, Lagos State, the speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal has paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko over the death of Mr Deji Falae, the State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism who was part of the victims of the crash.
Tambuwal was accompanied by Senator George Akume, Hon. Yemi Arokodare and Hon. Kashim Imam.
He described the death of Mr. Deji Falae as a monumental loss to the nation, saying he received the sad news with great shock as they were about to commence the proceedings of the day. The Speaker said Mr. Deji Falae sent a message to him on September 29, on how to move the nation forward.
The message reads, “My brother I trust you and your family are well. I implore you to use your best endeavours to solve the current crisis rocking your party and Nigeria as a whole. History will not be kind to our generation if we don’t make the success of the Nigerian project. May the almighty God guide you, Deji Falae.”
In his respond, Governor Mimiko thanked the visitors on behalf of the people of Ondo State for their concern, describing the visit as a precious and wonderful one.
