ISSA AREMU, VICE PRESIDENT, NIGERIA LABOUR CONGRESS
The General Secretary, Textile Workers’ Union and the Vice President, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Issa Aremu has opined that the persistent twin crisis locking the PDP and University Education (ASUU) inspires serious doubt on the capacity of the administration to facilitate a national conference.
According to Aremu who has stated this in Kaduna on Sunday, combating the numerous challenges perturbing the Nation all lies in the sincerity of purpose which also determines the ability of the administration to hold a meaningful dialogue on a national scale.
He emphasized that if the President and his men cannot resolve the university crisis, the nation finds it difficult to trust the administration to handle a national conversation on more naughty issues of national development.
Aremu concluded however that “President Jonathan must come out with clean hands on simple conflict resolutions before he can be further entrusted with national conversation of such importance.”
