News reaching the desk of CEOAFRICA.com states that angry road workers of the Chiwla road in Ndola, Zambia, are protesting to demand their three months salary arrears.

It was disclosed by our source that the attempts to address the angry workers by the site manager proved abortive as they mount road blocks, denying motorists and other road users the chances of free movement.

A member of the Bwana Mkubwa Parliament, Emmanuel Chenda sought to intervene in the matter, but the workers demanded a solid confirmation.

Chenda however phoned the contractor, who promised to quickly pay up the workers as soon as possible.

Most of the workers said it was difficult to support Zambian contractors being given contracts as they were unwilling to pay their employees.
