Nigerian billionaires are currently investing robustly into agricultural sector as a result of the huge success recorded under the prevailing transformation agenda.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina while speaking at the ongoing Agribusiness Forum 2013, an annual programme for Africa organized by the European Marketing Research Centre (EMRC) based in Brussels, Belgium.

According to the Agric Minister, who stated that the new commercial farmers were putting huge investments into agribusiness having seen the huge prospect in agric sector, the billionaires who used to make money from other sectors, including oil, are now moving back to the farm.

He however concluded that agriculture is a business that is needed to secure the bright future of Nigeria especially through sorghum food.
