Roberto Colamine, ambassador of Italy to Nigeria, sought for the hasty harmonization of the trade agreement between the European Union and West African region.

According to Colamine, there are negotiations going on between the European Union and the West African countries to conclude comprehensive trade agreement.

He indicated that the sooner the agreement is completed the healthier it will become for economies of the two regions.

In his words, “This is a decision that involves several states and the only thing I can say about it is that the sooner solution is found, that is a solution that must be neutrally convenient for the West Africa countries and the European Union because it has to be respectful of the needs of the two sides, the sooner it is received, the better it would be for the two economies.”
