From Bayelsa, CEOAFRICA.com gathered the sad news that two people were killed in the Swali suburb of Yenagoa by generator fumes.

Sources disclosed that Patience Augustine, 20, who hails from Khana Local Government area of Rivers State and Esther, 35, an indigene of Ondewari, in the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State were found dead in their room.

Until her death, Patience was a student of Community Secondary School, Swali, in Yenagoa and was identified as the daughter of a serving police officer at the state police command, while Esther was a trader who dealt in kerosene and sachet water at Swali market.

It was reported that both of them left a generator running in the corridor and fell asleep while watching television. Esther was reportedly not feeling fine and she invited Patience to come over and pass the night with her.

The neighbours became suspicious when the duo did not come out in the morning. The door to the room was reportedly forced open by their curious neighbours only to see their lifeless bodies on the bed.

Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Alex Akhibe said investigation is currently ongoing to unravel the mystery behind the death of the two friends.
