The Lybian Prime Minister, Ali Zeidan has been seized by armed men in the capital Tripoli during early hours of this morning..

CEOAFRICA gathered according the statement by Lybian government that Mr. Zeidan was taken from his hotel before dawn by gunmen to an unknown place for unknown reasons.

UK Foreign Secretary, William Hague condemned the capture and called for Mr. Zeidan's immediate release, assuring Lybian Government and the people of UK full support at this critical moment, adding that maintaining the process of political transition in Libya is very vital.

However, Libya's cabinet has been summoned for an immediate meeting under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister.
