The DSP at Eleyele police station has reported the arrest of Mr Felix Sanmi of Odejayi Agodi area,Ibadan.

The suspect was reported to have been caught by a group of vigilante men at Elenusoso area ologuneru Ibadan.

The group who was led by Mr Idris Olatunji saw the suspect in an uncompleted building behaving in a suspicious manner. He said that the suspect could not give a satisfactory account of himself.

During interrogations, a locally made pistol was found at the back of his trousers and in the process, he escaped into a nearby bush.

However, a hot chase was made and he was arrested. Two wraps of Indian hemp and two copies his passport photograph in police constable uniform were further recovered from him.

Further investigation by the police revealed that the suspect and his cohorts had earlier made an unsuccessful attempt to snatch a motorcycle from one Mr Aliyu Kazeem.

According to victim, the suspect boarded his motorcycle to Elenusoso area and on getting to a particular spot; he forcefully attempted to snatch the motorcycle after struggling with him.

An outcry was however made and passers-by came to his rescue as the suspect escaped into a bush.

Suspect have been arrested and detained in police custody for further investigation and efforts will be made to bring him to justice said DSP Olabisi Ilobanafor the (PPRO) Eleyele police headquarters.
