Police Arraigned Six Suspected Secret Cultists in Ekiti State

From Ekiti State, CEOAFRICA.com gathered that six suspected secret cult members were arraigned by the state Police Command befor an Ado-Ekiti Magistrate Court yesterday.

According to the Police prosecutor, Cpl. Olasunkanmi Bamikole, the accused were Awotile yemi, 18, Ogundana Adesina, 18, Jamiu Seun, 18, Ogunleye Olumide, 18, Daramola Damilola, 19, and Omolayo Sunday, 18. They were reportedly apprehended on September 30 at Agbanka Farm, Ilasa-Ekiti, Ikole Local Governmrnt Area of the state.

Bamidele said the accused contravened Section 64 of the Criminal Code, Cap C 16, Laws of Ekiti State. 2002, by presenting and conducting themselves as members of a proscribed society.

While adjourning the case to November 20, Magistrate Patricia Taiwo, granted bail to the accused in the sum of 20,000 naira with two sureties in each like sum. The sureties, according to her judgement, must be their parents.
