AUTO CRASH IN INDIA KILLS 20 PILGRIMS

CEOAFRICA gathered that at least 20 pilgrim were killed after the lorry conveying them crashed into a gorge in the Northern Indian state of Punjab.

The accident which took place near Hoshiarpur town, 380km (236 miles) from Delhi, also left thirty-five others wounded.

The lorry driver was said to have lost control of the vehicle after its brakes failed.

However, it has been established that road accidents are common in India, and often caused by poor driving or badly maintained road and vehicles.
