
Veteran Actress, Ashabi Olorisha
For those who stayed glued to their tubes in the 80s and early 90s, they will quickly recollect the name, Aderonke Ajenise Oduboria, fondly called Ashabi Olorisha for her role in the now rested NTA soaps, ‘Village Headmaster’, ‘Tales By Moonlight’ and SPACS.
This over 50-year-old woman dazzled many with her acting skills until she left the shores of Nigeria for the United Kingdom.
The mother of one from the Adegorushen royal family in Ikorodu, Lagos State is not only beautiful, but highly intelligent, motivated, courageous and independent.
In a recent chat with Idris Bello from her base in the United States of America (USA), the actress disclosed her plans for 2016, one of which is her dream home coming.
Ashabi Olorisha, who is presently in the US as a Security Personnel, disclosed that she would be in Nigeria in 2016 for a “big event” powered and packaged by Fathia Entertainment owned by Olawale Yusuff.
Explaining how she walked into acting, the actress said it was through her father’s friend, the late Leke Ajao fondly called Kokosari, who was then tutoring Araosan, now based in the US.
According to her, it was thereafter she got a role in the ‘Village Headmaster’ where she met other great actors including late Justus Esiri and Enebeli Elebuwa, who she said believed “in me”.
Ashabi Olorisha has a 21-year-old son who is named Michael Oluwaseun Opeyemi and is a British citizen, but born in Nigeria. The actress said she left her man because he refused to relocate with her to the US from the UK because of his career in football.
