President GoodLuck Jonathan has advocated that African legislature should ensure to enact laws that would further empower and enhance the living conditions of the people they represent.

The President gave this advice on Thursday after receiving a briefing from the Senate leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba, on the Africa Legislative Summit which is scheduled to hold in Abuja from November 10 to 13.

Jonathan deliberated that legislation must be seen as a vital democratic tool that would enable speedy and inclusive development, stressing that legislative process would only become truly meaningful to the vast majority of Africans when it could positively address their needs and aspirations.
