Forgery: Ekweremadu Fails To Stop Court Judgment

Ike Ekweremadu, the deputy Senate president move to stop the delivery of judgment by the Federal High Court in a suit seeking to sack the Senate leadership has hit a brick wall. The presiding judge on the case, Justice Adeniyi Ademola on Wednesday, January 20, insisted that he would go ahead to deliver judgment on a date that would be communicated to both parties in the case through their lawyers except if the chief judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Ibrahim Auta, stated otherwise, The Punch reports.

Ike Ekweremadu, the deputy Senate president move to stop the delivery of judgment by the Federal High Court in a suit seeking to sack the Senate leadership has hit a brick wall.Justice Ademola said: “The court having adopted parties’ written addresses on December 14, 2015, the court will give it’s judgment on a date that will be communicated to parties through their counsel unless the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court directs otherwise.”

The plaintiff in the suit, led by Senator Abu Ibrahim stated that the Senate Standing Orders of 2015 on which Saraki, Ekweremadu and other principal officers of the Senate were elected was a product of forgery.
