Former AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato is set to join English Premier League team Chelsea from Corinthians.

Pato, who has always indicated his interest in playing at the Premier League is said to be closing in to seal a deal with Guus Hiddink’s men.

There are reports that Chelsea are so desperate to bring in a striker during the winter window and the former AC Milan man has become his key target.

Also, Pato has reportedly agreed to the deal worth €2.3 million (£1.77m) a year.   

The 26-year-old scored 26 times in 61 appearances for Sao Paulo – where he spent the last two years on loan – in 2015.
