Tuesday and Thursday, the 15 and 16 of October 2013 has been declared public holidays by the Federal Government for the Muslims celebration of their Eid-el-Kabir festival.

This declaration was contained in a statement released by the Ministry of Interior in which the Minister, Abba Moro, also wished Muslims and all Nigerians a happy Sallah celebration.

It would be recalled that Muslims all over the world had celebrated Eid-el-Fitr in August, to mark the end of the fasting and prayer (Ramadan) period.
