Actress Kehinde Bankole has revealed that her twin sister was first to delve into acting way before she even thought of becoming an actress herself. She also talked about the possibility of making music in the near future.

In an exclusive chat with The Punch, the screen star disclosed that even though her twin got into the acting world before her, she did not go far into exploring her skills rsther she left to handle other businesses.

She however disclosed that her twin sister could make a return to acting if she ever feels the need to.

“My twin sister is not an actress, she is an event planner, she started out acting before me but as her business began to grow, she decided to focus on her event planning business. That is not to say if she wants to come back she won’t.”

As is typical of most Nigerian parents who kick against their wards getting into entertainment, many must have thought she faced a hard time convincing them she wanted to pursue a career in acting, but her case is different.

She said: “Unlike most people, my parents never had a problem with my choice of career. I started in the church drama but they were a bit bothered because they felt I was spending so much time in church. I had to explain to them that aside from drama rehearsals, I still had to attend church service and choir rehearsal. They were interested in me becoming an actress but they didn’t want it to take too much of my time because they were concerned it would affect my education. It was during that time I had my WASSCE and UTME among others. Once I got into the university and they saw that I had crossed that hurdle, it was easier for them to accept my career choice.”

Kehinde Bankole is a multi award-winning actress and model who is famous for her roles in the acclaimed Nigerian drama series Super Story.

She also told The Punch how she plans to test her skills in the music industry.

She said: “Music is a part of my everyday life. I minister in songs and I believe that music is part of me. I have not given it a serious thought but if I get a record deal or my partners and I are asked to sing in a concert, we will take it.”
