CEOAFRICA news desk gathered that Syrian warplanes have bomb the suburbs of Damascus while rebels have fired mortar shells at the capital.

According to UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the Syrian warplanes bombed the Eastern Ghousta district of Damascus and rebel areas near the city of Hama, killing three children.

However, the Tuesday's fighting has been said to demonstrate how entrenched both sides in Syria’s civil war have become as the sides earlier on occasionally attempted to observe holiday cease-fires.
