At Least Four Died in Renewed Clash Between Somali Soldiers and Al-Shabab

From Somalia, CEOAFRICA.com gathered that the country’s troop backed by the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISON) clashed with al-Shabaab near Elasha Biyaha in Lower Shabelle after the militants attacked government bases.

It was disclosed by sources that residents of Arbaow, 20 kilometres southwest of Mogadishu, reported that more than an hour of heavy gunfire from both sides and at least four died in the clash.

Last Sunday, at least ten people were killed and ten others injured in two separate clashes near Mogadishu. Somali government troops reportedly clashed with armed militiamen disguised as military soldiers on the outskirts of Mogadishu, leaving three soldiers dead and eight wounded.
