CEOAFRICA gathered that the Federal Constituency Vanguard was reported to have rejected an offer of #2.5 billion oil spill compensation offered by Exxon Mobil to affected Eket Communities.

Records reveal that up to 200,000 barrels of oil was spilled on the Atlantic Coast in November 9, 2012.

According to our source, the Vanguard condemned alleged lies, insults and abuses on the community by Exxon Mobil in the course of oil spillage and therefore demanded an immediate release of #26.5 billion earlier promised by Exxon Mobil.
