Head of Glo world, Brenda Akhigbe recently disclosed that the Nigeria’s indigenous Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) company has hit subscriber base of 71% in Nigeria.
The Glo boss made this disclosure in Lagos, stating that the company now has about 35 million subscribers in Nigeria, Ghana and Benin.
Akhigbe, who spoke at the presentation of cheques to another set of winners in the ongoing ‘Glo Recharge to Stardom’ promo, said, “Today, we pride ourselves as one of Africa’s biggest telecommunications networks as we have positively touched the lives of 35 million subscribers in Nigeria and other markets where we have our footprints such as Ghana and Benin Republic.”
She stated that the ‘Recharge to stardom’ promo was introduced in the spirit of the commemoration of Glo’s 10th anniversary and that the objective was to create many millionaires and multi-millionaires from glo subscriber base and to ensure that their loyal subscribers are handsomely rewarded as they celebrate this important milestone with the company.
She further noted that millions of naira and other cash prizes had been awarded to several winners at public prize presentations held in many cities across the country, in the bid to encourage the company’s ‘loyal customers.’
