The president of the federal republic of Nigeria has described SAN Afe Babalola as a living legend.
President Goodluck Jonathan, who was represented by the Solicitor General of the federation, Abdulahi Ahmed Yola at the 50years of Afe Babalola at the Bar held at the Nigerian Bar Association Law Center in Ibadan today said that SAN Babalola has contributed tremendously to the evolution of government's rule of law agenda since the return of democracy to Nigeria in 1999.


The president said Afe Babalola has produced distinguished personality at the Emmanuel chambers who are currently contributing to National development. President Goodluck Jonathan recalled how Afe Babalola served the country as he had approached every national assignment with a determination to make the nation better. He however joined Nigerians congratulate SAN Afe Babalola on his 50year at Bar.

Meanwhile, the former President of the federal Republic of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo has said that Aare Afe Babalola remians the best Pro-chancellor University of Lagos have ever had. Obasanjo who doubles as the Chairman of the occassion said that he was accused of making a big mistake by appointing SAN Babalola as the Pro-Chancellor of UNILAG but today he did not regret his action and remains proud of him.
