Aminu Tambuwal, speaker, House of Representatives on Thursday concurred with the view of Governor Ibikunle Amosun that Ijubuland has all it takes to be a state.

The Hon. Speaker, Tambuwal acknowledged this in his remarks at the 2013 Ojude Oba Ijebuland held in Ijebu Ode on Thursday.

The speaker in the event stated in line with theme of Ojude Oba Ijebuland 2013 celebration, ‘Actualising the Creation of Ijebu State’, that no member of the National Assembly has disputed the fact that Ijebu is mature enough to be a state.

He noted however that from all evidence, it could be concluded that Ijebuland has the capacity and means to be a state.
