From France, it was gathered that a prominent serial killer, Emile Louis, who was jailed for life for killing 7 young women in the 70s, has died at the age of 79.

Sources revealed to CEOAFRICA.com that the former bus driver died in a secure hospital in Nancy early hours of yesterday.

During his trial, Louis admitted carrying out some of the murders in 2000, but later retracted the confession.

The case against Louis was plagued with a succession of judicial problems in which three magistrates were punished in 2002 for failing in their duties by allowing him to avoid prosecution for more than twenty years.
