Ghana refinery reopens after receiving support from Nigerian

News reaching CEOAFRICA.com is that Ghana only crude processing facility; Tema Oil Refinery Ltd located at 30 kilometres (19 miles) East of Accra, the capital has been reopened after receiving funds from Nigeria.
According to source, Emmanuel Offoh, chairman, General Transport, Petroleum and Chemical Workers Union, said, the state-owned refinery “resumed operations on October 15 after the management secured some letters of credit and bought a consignment of 600,000 barrels of crude from Nigeria,” “At current production of 28,000 barrels a day, we can continue to refine for three weeks.
According to Ato Ampiah, its managing director, the refinery is looking for private investors as “government alone cannot finance the refinery’s activities
