Alh. Gafar Owolabi, an ardent politician, who contested for Lagos state House of Assembly in 2003 under the umbrella of People Democratic Party (PDP), who is now a member of All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Managing Director of Oroki Herbal Mixture, said APC’s chances of winning, come 2015 elections is very bright.

While speaking in an exclusive interview with CEOAFRICA online news in his office at Ifelodun, Ijaye in Lagos, he said “we want to sweep out PDP in order to rescue Nigeria from its predicament’’.

Alh. Gafar who describes himself as a grass root politician, said APC was formed not for selfish interest, but to serve the interest of the masses. Talking about the leaders, they are very great and are selfless in their services he said.

“We have all it takes to take over from PDP’’ he said, adding that major developments have been taking place in states governed by the ACN Governors.

Moreover, “APC candidates are progressives. They are people who believe in developmental project of our communities, who would really want to develop and change the society for good. We stand for “CHANGE’’ he said.

While commending the current ACN state Governors, he also urged them to carry on the good work saying, “the sky is their limit’’.

He said APC is the only party that allow youth involvement, saying that ACN representatives in the National Assembly are youths, unlike PDP which are made up of “Old People’’ who do inner circus politics.

When asked on his view about the state of insecurity in Nigeria, he said “Unemployment’’ is the major cause, saying that government should focus more on other sectors of the economy apart from the Petroleum sector, in order to create more jobs. “This will reduce violence and crime to the barest minimum’’ he said.

He also advised that the Federal Government dance to the tune of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), by providing all that is needed by them saying our education sector should not be toyed with.

It is when you educate people that they will be able to manage the nation’s resources. Spending money where it is needed is better than spending it on unnecessary project. “Our resources should not be wasted’’ he said
