The forum for Justice and Human Rights Defence, FJHD, Delta State on Friday, has called on President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to immediately relieve Mrs. Stella Oduah of her position as the Honourable Minister for Aviation owing to her dishonourable action and conduct as a public officeholder.

The National coordinator of FJHD Oghenejabor Ikimi said the spirited defence by the Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah, that the controversial purchase of two armoured BMW cars at a whopping sum of N225 million passed through due process was morally wrong and an insult on the collective intelligence of Nigerians.

In  a statement, he said, “From available information, the said purchase was hurriedly done at a time when our local and international airports across the country are in a state of disrepair and at a time when middle class and downtrodden Nigerians are daily contending with issues of poverty, public infrastructural decay, massive unemployment and insecurity.”

“Against the back drop of her oath of office as a public office holder,  Oduah had allowed her selfish interest to influence her official conduct and official decision as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“If we may ask, does Oduah also live in an armoured house in Abuja? If the answer is in the negative, then her act and that of her Ministry in the above regard was fraudulent and immoral,” Ikimi added.

According to him, any civil servant found culpable in the above act of conspiracy against the good people of Nigeria should be immediately sacked.
