From Japan, CEOAFRICA.com gathered that the country’s defence minister had warned China not to over-step its boundary.

Itsunori Onodera warned that China’s behaviour over the East China Sea island is jeopardising peace. There is heightened tension between the two Asian giants over islands known as Senkaku in Japan and Diaoyu in China.

Just last week, our source revealed that Japan scrambled fighter jets three times after Chinese military aircraft flew near Japanese airspace

The two countries have argued for decades over the islands, which Japan controls. They are also claimed by Taiwan.

The quarrel took a new twist in 2012 when Japanese government bought three of the islands from their private Japanese owner.

Since then, Chinese ships have been sailing in and out of what Japan says are its territorial waters, prompting fears of a clash.
