An Indian soldier was killed by Pakistani firing in Indian-administered Kashmir, CEOAFRICA.com gathered.

Sources revealed that the killing took place in the Uri sector on the Line of Control, the border that divides Kashmir between India and Pakistan.

The killing came few hours to the meeting between authorities of the two countries in order to end tension along the Line of Control claimed by both of them.

It was also disclosed that many people living in the border areas have fled their home due to repeated firing from Pakistan.

It would be recalled that prime ministers of both countries have met in September and agreed that they would maintain peace on the border, although they have failed to abide by this peace agreement.

Pakistan is yet to comment on the latest incident.
