IGBO DAY CELEBRATION IN IBADAN COMES UP BY NOVEMBER 24

Igbo people in Oyo State announce that the Igbo Day Celebration for the year 2013 has been scheduled to take place on Sunday, 24th November at Olubadan Stadium, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The glamorous yearly event is particularly one set aside by the Igbo extractions to showcase their rich cultural values and also an avenue for the Igbo in all works of life, in Oyo and environs to come together in appreciation of themselves and their common values.

Expected to grace this exciting cultural celebration are; Chief Host, High Chief Aloysius A.O Obi (ONYE NDU NDI IGBO IN IBADAN), Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Olubadan in council, other distinguished personalities of the state, distinguished sons and daughters of Igbo extraction and other invited guests.

The event promises to be memorable with numerous cultural displays from all the state of Igbo land, Dancing competition, football competition, as well as presentation of award of appreciation to the distinguished sons and daughters of Igbo in Oyo State for their contribution to the growth and development Igbos in the State.

The entire Igbo community in Oyo hereby enjoins all well-meaning Nigerians to join them in this very exciting celebration.
