Zuriel Oduwole, an 11 year old girl, advocating for African girl child education had met with the leader of the largest Island country in the Caribbean, and the only female head of government in the CARICOM region, Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller of Jamaica.

Zuriel who is the youngest person in the world to be interviewed for a full feature by Forbes magazine which has recurring familiar faces like Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, Nigeria’s own Aliko Dangote and South Africa’s Patrice Motsepe has been in many interviews with Presidents of key African economies such as Nigeria, Kenya, and Tanzania as well as those of South-Sudan, Liberia, Cape Verde and Malawi on varying subjects and issues of Education, Health, and even the Millennium Development Goals.

The 11 year old girl, who was recently bestowed with an honorary Ambassador title for the largest Foundation of East Africa, by the first lady of Tanzania, Mrs. Salma Kikwete, in recognition of her advocacy work for the Girl Child, is still making great and laudable strides, as she has kept her sights firmly on continuing to do two simple things that seem to define her immediate goal of educating and inspiring the African Girl child through her Dream Up, Speak Up, Stand Up program, now launched in Nigeria, Malawi and Tanzania.

According to Zuriel Oduwole’s first formal release made available to CEOAFRICA, Zuriel has now turned her focus from African leaders to American leaders by meeting with Jamaica PM.

The Prime Minister of Jamaica was dazzled by Zuriel’s questions in an intimate and detailed interview. She was impressed by her poise, and so overwhelmed by her ability to focus on issues at such a high level that she broke protocol by hugging, kissing, praying for and carrying Zuriel on her lap after the interview.

“She is our brilliant African child from Africa’’, the prime minister declared.

According to the release, issues discussed during the interview covered dominance of Jamaica in world athletics, the Girl child in Jamaica, the phenomenon known as “lightning Bolt’’ (Usain Bolt), tourism in the country and the prime minister’s role in encouraging Girls within the Fifteen country Caribbean Community (CARICOM) region  to aim for higher leadership positions.

According to Ellen Racketien, a proud supporter and volunteer of Zuriel Oduwole, she said “We are very thrilled and proud of Zuriel Oduwoles’s incredible exploits, over the last 18 months’’.

“We are not Nigerians, but are most encouraged by this young girl’s fire and determination to make a difference, what an inspiration to children especially girls...she is astonishing! A world class act indeed, a true Nigerian and an African brand indeed’’, she added.

Zuriel was featured in August 2013 edition of Forbes Magazine, making her the youngest in the title’s 96 years history to be accorded that privilege. She also featured in October 2013 edition of Todays Days Women sharing the cover with Tiwa Savage and also she featured in WOW magazine October edition,

Zuriel plans to meet with Usain Bolt in a future interview schedule, and there are already confirmed meetings and interviews with other prime ministers in the Caribbean region who according to the release, wants to tell their stories of growth and development intimately and exclusively through Zuriel.
