7 DIVISION TROOPS HIT HARD ON TERRORISTS IN BORNO

Troops of the division of the Nigeria Army in Maiduguri disclosed its continues attacks on the Boko Haram terrorists and that it has so far killed several insurgents and destroying their camps.

According to the report, residents of Maiduguri, who were travelling to Damaturu on Wednesday, were made to turn back by other travelers who claimed that they saw the insurgent in their number crossing the highway road at Benisheikh town of Kaga Local Government Area, where insurgents have been attacking travelers in the past.

Captain Aliyu Danja was said to have confirmed the story on behalf of the 7 division Nigerian Army, stating that at about 11:00 a.m, the troops of 7 division Nigerian Army supported by the men of the Nigerian Air force with helicopter gunfire attacked and destroyed the Boko Haram camp in Goho village, in Mainok general area.

Captain Danja was also quoted to have said that several terrorists were killed, others fleeing to another town in Marguba village while troops pursued the terrorists, destroying the camp and killing several of them with others fleeing.

The report further said that Captain Danja also confirmed that the insurgents, who fled crossing road Maiduguri, Damaturu at Benisheikh were heading north towards Gubio and troops were still in pursuit of the terrorists.
