We have over 100 illegal petrol stations in Oyo - IPMAN

There are over hundred illegal filling stations operatin in ibadan, Oyo State, theoperations controller of Independent petroleum Marketers of Nigeria (IPMAN),Engr.Ogunlana Olakunle has said.

 

Speaking at the annual DPR/IPMAN forum in Ibadan on Thursday, he also disclosed that some filling stations also dispense  incomplete litres of premium motor spirit(PMS) to unaware consumers by tampering with the metres at their gas stations said sanctions would be melt out to such marketers if caught.

 

He advised marketers that indulge in the dastardly act to desist saying,

threatening that they would be sanctioned. Ogunlana urged the marketers who operates without license to register in time as 33 per cent of IPMAN  members in the state were operating illegally.

 

Speaking, IPMAN chairman, Joseph Akanni thanked Oyo state government under the able leadership of Senator. Abiola Ajimobi for the reduction of the fine placed on some of their members who built their outlets without the state approval. He said he hope by the time the new executive council was re-constituted, approval shall be given to the concerned marketers.
