I will not be distracted Mimiko

The Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has said that he will not be distracted by any criticism, but will remain focused to the goals of his administration which were to better the lots of the people of the state.

Mimiko stated this on Sunday at the thanksgiving service to mark the election of the new President of the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Services
Employees of Nigeria (AUPCTRE), Comrade Solomon Adelegan, held at Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke-Ileri Oluwa, Akure.

The Governor, who thanked public servants in the State for their understanding and support for the on-going reform in the public service of the state, noted that the accomplishment of his administration in various sectors was made possible through the cooperation of the entire workforce and vowed not to take any decision that will jeopardise the welfare and interest of the workers. While describing Comrade Adelegan as a worthy ambassador of the State and the entire workforce, Mimiko thanked members of the union for the confidence reposed in the leadership quality of the new president.

He said: " For us, we are determined to do anything that will add values to the lives of our people. We are not going to look back no matter what anybody says. The reform we are carrying out in the State
is for the betterment of our state, and we knew that there will be misconception about it but today we thank God for its result" Earlier in his sermon titled "Good name", the chairman of Akure District Coordinating  Council 3 of CAC, Pastor Ifedayo Ojo  charged Adelegan to always cherish his good name in his day to day activities.

The cleric also advised politicians to learn to be good losers, advising Governor Mimiko not to be detracted by the plans of enemies of progress. He appealed to Nigerians to always pray for the success of President Goodluck Jonathan. In his remarks, Comrade Solomon  Adelegan attributed his victory to
the love of God for him and promised not to disappoint the people.
