Over 306.492 Million Barrels of Oil Exported By Angola in First Semester of 2013

It was gathered from Angola that over 306.492 million barrels of oil were exported by the country in the first semester of this year at the average rate of Usd 106,2.

Speaking at the opening of the International Conference on Energy in Angola 2013, the Secretary of State for Oil Anibal Silva stressed that the law on crude oil refinery, transport, distribution and trade of derivatives has permitted to expand the market.

To this end, he added , more derivative products are reaching the market, upon refinery of crude oil, with the opening of more outlets locally.

According to the official, the transformation of crude oil is done in the Luanda Refinery that during the second quarter of 2013 processed 535,366 tons of oil derivatives.

Anibal Silva announced that a project for construction of a refinery is underway in Soyo, northern Zaire province with completion set for late in 2015. The plant will have a capacity to process five million tons a year, in its first phase.

On the other hand, the source recalled that the Lobito refinery construction works are in progress with completion expected for 2017. The plant is planned to have a processing capacity of 200,000 tons per day.
