Aftermath of yesterday’s defeat of Sweden by the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria, top striker of the Scandinavians, Valmir Berisha disclosed that he and his fellow team mates played against a better team and that the Nigerians deserved the victory.

The Halmstads BK of Sweden striker tipped the Eaglets to beat Mexico on Friday and lift the trophy for the fourth time.

Speaking through Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet, Berisha said: “'I think Nigeria deserve their victory. I think they analyzed us really well before the game. They won fair, and were better in all the departments. I think they are unbeatable and I hope and believe that Nigeria will win the trophy.”

The striker is confident they will return home with a medal as he anticipates victory over Argentina in Friday’s third place match.

In his reaction, Coach Roland Larsson said his boys failed to take their chances and they paid dearly for it, but took solace in the fact that his boys performed beyond expectation by reaching the semi final of the tournament.

''When you make mistakes then you are out of the game.

''I'm proud of the players. It was great that we got the chance to meet this team. This is a good experience for the future.

"When we came to this World Cup finals we did not set out to go to the semifinals or finals. This is a bonus. Now we get a chance to receive a bonus in the bronze match,” he concluded.
