Chief Emmanuel Aguariavwodo, who was elected to replace late Senator Pius Ewherido from Delta Central Senatorial District, was administered oath of office today at the Senate Chamber.

Aguariavwodo, PDP, won the bye-election to replace the departed Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) Senator, who died on June 30, 2013.

Speaking after the plenary, the new Senator said he will continue the good works of the departed Senator Ewherido for the betterment of the people of Delta Central Senatorial District.

“We believe in continuity, government is a continuum so whatever project that my predecessor started we will continue to support them with the best of our ability.

“We believe that most of the projects he started were to the benefit of our people, so, we will continue to make sure that those projects are brought to fruition,’’ he said.
