The Federal Government, on Friday, promised to revive the Ajaokuta Steel Company in Kogi State.

The Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku, made the promise when the national good governance tour team visited the complex in Ajaokuta.

“On our part, we will not let this place go down like that; we will do our best to revive this steel plant.

“What we have seen is quite revealing and I can assure you that the huge investment by Nigeria in this project cannot go into the drains,” he stressed.

Maku, however commended the workers for their faith in the plant and urged them to remain steadfast and continue to keep activities at the factory alive.
