Babangida, Abdulsalami Hosts APC Leaders in Minna, Niger State

NIGERIA- As part of efforts to extend its tentacle across every corner of Nigeria, leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) met with former heads of state, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida and Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar in Minna, Niger State, Nigeria.

The gathering which took place yesterday, saw party leaders and former heads of states shaking hands and smiling broadly.

According to what CEOAFRICA.com gathered, leaders of the APC and Gen. Babangida held a closed-door meeting at Babangida’s residence, before moving to Gen. Abdulsalami’s residence adjacent Babangida’s house for a similar meeting.

Gen. Babangida said the APC leaders came to his house to discuss about the development of Nigeria.

“The APC leaders visited me to discuss the welfare of the country, which should be the responsibility of every Nigerian – whether you belong to a party or you do not have a party, you have an assignment assigned to you to protect the integrity of the country.

“The meeting had to do with the welfare, well-being, education, security and economic well-being of the country and anything that would promote and move the country.

On the delegation were Interim National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, General Muhammadu Buhari, former House of Representatives Speaker Aminu Bello Masari, former Minister of Works Hassan Lawal, National Woman Leader Mrs. Sharon Ikeaso and leaders of the party in the state.
