SMEDAN UNVEILS NEDEP/OLOP PROJECT

Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has unveiled the National Enterprises Development Programme (NEDEP) and the One Local Government One Product Programme (OLOP), with  the intention of creating millions of jobs, especially for the rural populace.

The project is said to encompass technical/vocational skills acquisition, business development service/entrepreneurship training and access to finance.

Moreover the BDS/entrepreneurship training component of NEDEP is anchored under  the One Local Government One Product (OLOP) Programme.

However, during the launch in Lokoja, Kogi State Bature Umar Masari, Director-General, SMEDAN, urged state and local governments in the country to key into it in order to reduce poverty in all the 774 LGAs in the country.
