LONDON-  African Champions, Super Eagles of Nigeria, were forced to a two all draw by four times World Champions, Italy, yesterday night at the Craven Cottage Stadium in London.

The international Friendly match played  both teams, was used to prepare for the forthcoming FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

After Victor Moses’ tricky free-kick which nearly entered in the early hour of the game, the Azzuris got the opener through Guiseppe Rossi, but Bright Dike cancelled the deficit, while Shola Ameobi put the African Champions ahead from a cross sent in by Benjamin Francis.

In the second half, Italy equalized through Emanuele Giaccherini, but despite the inclusion of Andrea Pirlo and Marco Parolo, the game ended 2-2.

Austine Ejide was in goal until he was substituted for Vincent Enyeama, while Ahmed Musa, Emmanuel Emenike and John Obu were introduced in the second half of the highly entertaining encounter.
