Omatek Ventures PLC Recognized at WACC award for bringing convergence solutions to the classrooms.

Omatek ventures plc, a foremost computer manufacturer has been recognized at the West African Convergence Conference (WACC)  2013 as a leading IT for education company; providing expansive value with the use of converged technologies to the education sector that is increasingly becoming more tech- sophisticated. 

At the 2013 forum which brought a convergence of regulators, solution providers, and prospective new markets across new sectors, the group managing director Eng. Florence Seriki, MFR. presented a paper entitled “bringing convergence solutions to the classrooms” highlighting how the company has been able to change the face of learning in educational sector via e-learning modules.

The West African Convergence Conference has over 318 premium audience. The forum has over the years become the leading and sole event in all of West Africa and centers on the merging and expansive opportunities in convergence.

It has also enjoyed tremendous support from leading regulators, operators and industry associations within and outside the country.

As the tradition of the forum, participation came from key industry associations, ministries and professionals including the Nigeria  Communications Commission(NCC), National Communications Authority(Ghana), Association Telecoms Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) Sierra leone ICT Association (SLITCA), Association of Licensed Telecoms Operators of Nigeria (ALTON) and the Gambian Ministry of Information through the Public Utility Regulatory Technology(PURA) among others.

Meanwhile the new Nigerian high commission to Ghana Ambassador Ademola Oluseyi Onafowokan has undertaken a technical facility tour of the newly commissioned Omatek ultra modern factory in Ghana.

Ambasador Ademola stated that he was impressed and proud that a Nigerian could set up such a modern factory facility in that part of the globe and therefore urged all local entrepreneurs to follow this laudable step so as to grow the economy, create jobs and achieve the transformation agenda of this administration.
