The timely intervention of the men of Oyo state fire service department has helped to put out a fire from the top floor of a proposed entertainment center, from spreading to other parts of the building.

The proposed entertainment centre under construction is located beside the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation in Samonda Ibadan.

The fire was allegedly caused by a spark from an instrument used by the welders working on the site.

Nobody was however injured in the inferno.

Some residents around the area who spoke withe CEOAFRICA news noted that but for the timely intervention of the men of the Oyo state fire service, the damage to the building would have been worse.

The management of the building refused speaking with newsmen as at time of filling the report.
