Oyo State U-13 Referee Academy Team Zoomed To Quarter Final of National Competition

NIGERIA- Oyo State Referee Academy that won the just concluded U-13 competition organized by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigene (CCII), has qualified for the quarter final stage of the 2013 National competition put together by the International Association of Lions Club.

According to information made available to CEOAFRICA sports correspondent by the Deputy Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. David Olaniyan a.k.a Akoro, the team currently represents Region 10 of the International Association of Lions Club at the ongoing national competition.

Hon. Olaniyan, who is a prominent leader of Referee Association in Oyo State disclosed that the team defeated their counterpart from Ekiti State 4-3, before dismantling Kwara State representatives 4-1 on their way to the quarter final stage.

He also said that the draws for the quarter final matches which would hold at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan, Oyo State will soon be made available by the organizers of the competition.

The quarter final matches will be played between January 31and February 1, 2014.
