NSCDC arrests armed hoodlums in Kwara.

In an effort targeted at reducing crimes in the Country, the operation harmony team of the Kwara State command of the Nigeria security and civil defence corps (NSCDC) has arrested three suspected hoodlums in Ilorin metropolis.

According to Ceoafrica, the command’s public relations officer, Henry Bilesanmi, while parading the suspects in Ilorin yesterday said the hoodlums were arrested on 4th of January, 2017 at about 2100hrs at Oja-Iya area of the metropolis.

The NSCDC officer, who said that the suspected hoodlums were arrested on suspicion, added that, “upon search and interrogation, they were found with a locally made pistol with two rounds of ammunition, three knives, codeine, rolls of Indian hemp, charms among other dangerous items.”

He gave names of the suspects as Monsuru Aremu, Musa Yusuf and Lawal Babatunde, saying they were still under interrogation preparatory to taking them to court for prosecution.

He called for more support from members of the public, saying they should always give useful information on suspected moves by criminal elements in their areas.
