Somalia’s militant group kills Kenyan troops.

Somalia's militant Islamist group, al-Shabab, has attacked a Kenyan army base in southern Somalia, where its fighters overran the base in the town of Kulbiyow, seizing military vehicles, weapons and killing more than 50 Kenyan troops.
Although, Kenya contributes more than 3,000 troops to the African Union mission in Somalia, but the Kenyan army said soldiers have repelled the attack, and scores of al-Shabab fighters had been killed.
Ceoafrica learnt that Last year, al-Shabab attacked a Kenyan base in the town of el-Ade and claimed to have killed more than 100 soldiers but the Kenyan government led by Uhuru Kenyatta never gave its own casualty figures.
