Ahead of the 2018 gubernatorial election in the land of virtue, Osun State, the state chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today held an inter-religious prayer session at their party secretariat, Ikirun Road, Osogbo.

According to Ceoafrica, party loyalists in their thousands led by the Chairman, Dr Soji Adagunodo and stalwarts of the party converged at the secretariat to pray for the enthronement of a PDP led government in the State by 2018.

Clerics from various Christian denominations, Imams and Alfas took their turns to pray while world acclaimed gospel singer, Tope Alabi, thrilled the jubilant crowd with spiritual songs.

Addressing journalists shortly after the prayer session, Dr Adagunodo gave assurance that Osun state’s PDP is not only united but ready for 2018 gubernatorial election in Osun State.

Adagunodo assured the people of Osun State that his party would present a credible candidate but urged members to join the moving train and work assiduously for PDP’s victory in 2018.  

According to him, the people of Osun State are fed up with the All Progressives Congress led administration in the state adding that PDP is the best alternative.

Chieftains of the party at the event include Hon Oluwole Oke, member, House of Representatives, former Speaker, Osun House of Assembly, Hon Adejare Bello, Hon. Kayode Oduoye, , Akogun Lere Oyewumi, Senator Felix Ogunwale, Senator Olasunkanmi Akinlabi, Ambassador Gunju Adesakin among others.
