Report reaching CEOAFRICA said that filling station belonging to Conoil, located in Abuja Central Business District, opposite the corporate headquarters of NNPC, Abuja has been engulfed in flames.

The fire, eye witnesses said started at about 3:00 p.m on Thursday and that the fire service men are currently battling to put out the fire.

 The explosion caused serious commotion around the densely populated business area as many people were thrown into panic because they had no idea of the exact cause, fearing it was a bomb blast from insurgents.

Several people sustained injuries, as a result of the stampede to escape from the area.

However, the cause of the fire outbreak is still unknown at the time of filling this report.
