Against the backdrop of the whistle blowing policy that have helped to recover loots, the Supreme Youth Council (SYC) of the PDP has asked relevant authorities to publish names of persons who allegedly looted $151 million and N8 billion recovered by the federal government.
According to Ceoafrica, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, had disclosed in a statement recently that whistle-blowers have assisted the federal government (FG) in the recovery of billions of looted funds from three sources.
But in a statement yesterday in Abuja, national president of the youth council, Comrade Adai Edwin Adai, said that the successes recorded through the “so-called whistle-blowers” by the All Progressives Congress, APC, led government was a distraction from glaring failure of the ruling government.
According to him, “The APC-led administration found it easy to distract Nigerians with the purported recovered funds but has not seen reasons to tell Nigerians how much is recovered from the former governor of Rivers State and now Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, the SGF, David Babachir Lawal, the alleged N500 million bribe by the multinational company, MTN to the Chief of Staff to the President, Alhaji Abba Kyari and other APC stalwarts”.
