An auto crash which occurred along Lagos-Ibadan Express road recently claimed not less than six lives.
The fatal accident which happened around 5:30pm near a private quarry company on kilometer 114, Lagos/Ibadan Express way was said to have involved a commercial Mazda bus marked OYO XE 675 LUY, and a Mack truck with registration number LAGOS XX 455 GGE.
According to the source, the 14-seater bus swift off the road and hit the stationed truck parked by the road side, living six people (4 male and 2 females) dead at the spot.
The Assistant Corps Commander, Federal Road Safety Commission, Oluyole Unit 1, Sanya Adeoye at the scene said the unit with the rescue team of the State ambulance Service and a team of Operation Burst were around to rescue the victims.
Mr. Adeoye also said the cause of the accident has not yet been deciphered but the dead victims have been deposited in Adeoyo State Hospital Morgue, Ring Road, Ibadan while the injured victims are now receiving treatment at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria.
The Assistant Corps Commander however revealed that the sum of N64,210 and fiver Euros were recovered from the scene of the crash.
