Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup: Nigeria Draws Argentina, Bosnia &Herzegovina and Iran

The much-anticipated 2014 FIFA World Cup draws was held in Costa do Sauipe resort in Brazil on Friday amid pump and pageantry, as the Super Eagles of Nigeria sets to trail tackles with Argentina, Iran, and Bosnia & Herzegovina in Group F.

Brazil President Dilma Roussef, FIFA President Sebb Blatter, and other football legends like Pele, Ronaldo de Lima, were dignitaries present at the auspicious occasion.

NFF President Aminu Maigari and the Super Eagles Chief Coach Stephen Keshi also witnessed the ceremony which featured world cup documentary from 1930 to 2010.

At the ceremony, a-minute silence was observed in honour of African legend, Nelson Mandela, who passed unto glory at the age of 95.

Also, the official mascot for the tournament along with the official football named Brazuca was unveiled.

The draws were anchored by the FIFA Secretary General, Jerome Valcker, who was joined by Argentine legend Mario Kempes, former German captain Lotha Marthaus, former French international Zinedine Zidane, Italian legend Fabio Canavarro, and the Brazilian captain at the 2012 world cupCafu and

The groups are as follows:

Group A: Brazil, Croatia, Mexico, Cameroun.

Group B: Spain, Netherland,Chile, Austrialia

Group C: Colombia, Greece , Cote d’Ivoire, Japan.

Group D: Uruguay, Costa Rica, England, Italy

Group E: Switzerland, Ecuador, France, Honduras

Group F: Argentina, Bosnia& Herzegovina, Iran, Nigeria

Group G: Germany, Portugal, Ghana, USA

Group H: Belgium, Algeria, Russia, Korea Republic
